Welcome to the course The role of imaging in different clinical scenarios of breast cancer of Atualiza 25!

Learning objectives:

The objective of the course is to discuss the points where imaging exams are essential in decision-making during the patient's journey with the initial diagnosis of breast cancer.

Course syllabus: The course consists of 10 theoretical classes on points where imaging is essential in decision-making regarding the treatment of a patient recently diagnosed with breast cancer. In addition to defining TNM staging and surgical margins, today's radiologist needs to understand the needs of other specialists involved in breast cancer treatment, such as: which clinical and imaging criteria are considered when deciding between upfront surgery and neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the specificities of treating molecular subtypes, and the importance of imaging after surgical and chemotherapy treatment. These situations will also be discussed through clinical cases presented by a team of experienced radiologists who participate in national and international tumor board meetings.
