Welcome to the course Penis and Testicle Imaging: Everything a Radiologist Needs to Know of Atualiza 25! 

Learning objectives:  

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

– Know the protocols and anatomical evaluation of MRI exams of the penis, male urethra and scrotum.

– Understand the clinical-pathological aspects of the evaluation of primary neoplastic disease of the penis and testicle, as well as the evaluation of systemic staging and response to treatment.

– Understand penile pathologies in a non-oncological context, especially traumatic, inflammatory and infectious lesions.

– Understand the assessment of male infertility, knowing the possible pelvic malformations.

Course syllabus: We will address the evaluation of the male penis, urethra, and scrotum using MRI for the diagnosis, staging, and evaluation of response to treatment of neoplasms. Penile pathologies in non-oncological settings and the evaluation of male infertility will also be covered. The course will have a practical focus, through the reading and discussion of clinical cases guided by subject matter experts. It will cover clinical and anatomical concepts, requirements for examination protocols, and the interpretation of imaging findings in different clinical settings. The Hands-On session will be accompanied by short lectures—knowledge pills—available in advance on the event platform. Target audience: radiologists and residents in radiology and diagnostic imaging.
