After this workshop the participant will be able to:

• Diagnose and describe the various causes of acute abdomen;
• Identify abdominal complications secondary to the various causes of acute abdomen;
• Assisting the assistant team in the clinical and surgical management of patients with acute abdomen;
• Diagnosing the causes of acute abdomen in special groups (oncology, bariatrics and gynecology);
• Understand the determining criteria for surgical intervention.
