Managing Risk in Diagnostic Imaging Course

Objective

• What is risk management in diagnostic imaging services, providing practical examples of risk management methodology, tools for risk management, as well as the importance of dealing with risks and implementing improvements focused on analyzing mapped risks, drawing up indicators and continuous monitoring for this management in a dynamic and usual way.
• Emphasis will be placed on the Padi - CBR standard's vision of risk management in diagnostic imaging services. The items described in the standard will be discussed in a practical way, which are necessary for the integrated risk management of these services, including compliance with relevant legislation in the area and the implementation of actions for the contingency of risks that may impact institutional and patient integrity.
• Conceptualize risk management in diagnostic imaging services;
• Understand the importance and practical examples of risk mapping, critical activities and their proper conduct in diagnostic imaging services;
• Understand the importance of comprehensive and practical risk management from the perspective of the relevant legislation and the Padi - CBR standard.

Teaching method

• Online class, two synchronous meetings of 4 hours each, totaling 8 hours, via the Zoom platform, on a Friday evening and Saturday morning, with slide shows, group dynamics, practical development of risk mapping and final presentation by the teams subdivided in the classroom on risk mapping and their appropriate prevention, contingency and notification actions.
