  • Understand the latest classification of brain tumors (who 2021);
  • To identify the main imaging findings and differential diagnoses of adult diffuse gliomas;
  •  To identify the main imaging findings and differential diagnoses of circumscribed astrocytic gliomas;
  • Identify the main imaging findings and differential diagnoses of neuronal and glioneuronal tumors;
  • Identify the main imaging findings and differential diagnoses of meningiomas;
  • Identify the main imaging findings and differential diagnoses of melanocytic tumors;
  •  Understand the applicability of advanced techniques in the evaluation of brain tumors.

The course will take a practical approach through the live discussion of clinical cases, tutored by experts in the field;

Twelve pre-lectures will be available on the cbr platform, which should be watched before the course in order to get the most out of the case discussions;

The course will be based on the latest update on the classification of brain tumors (who 2021).

After this course, participants should be able to:

  •  Understand the role of pathology in the classification of brain tumors;
  • Identify the imaging findings of the main adult brain tumors;
  • Know how to assess tumors after treatment using imaging;

They will also see how important molecular studies are in this classification and what to expect from the new classification (who 2026).
