Welcome to the course CT Angiography in the Emergency Room: What the General Radiologist Needs to Know of Atualiza 25! 

Learning objectives:  By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

1) Identify the indications for angiotomography in emergency situations;

2) Learn the angiotomography technique, which involves prescribing medications and the different types of image acquisition;

3) Recognize artifacts in angiotomography and their possible corrections;

4) Interpret angiotomography;

5) Perform angiotomography reconstructions;

6) Interpret/evaluate computed tomography angiography using CAD-RADS;

7) Interpret/evaluate angiotomography in an emergency setting.

Course syllabus: This course introduces the basic concepts for performing and obtaining coronary CT angiography (angiotomography), with a focus on emergency situations. Theoretical classes will cover the indications for the exam, technical aspects (preparation, acquisition, identification, and correction of ECG artifacts), CT angiography reconstruction methods, and exam analysis. Structured CT angiography analysis (CAD-RADS) will be covered, primarily in the emergency room (ER), with clinical cases and the use of chest pain protocols.
