From March 21st to 23rd, the Atualiza25 – National Radiology Circuit was held, THE LARGEST HANDS-ON ONLINE PROFESSIONAL UPDATING EVENT IN THE WORLD!
The event, held online as 100%, aimed to promote theoretical and practical training for radiology professionals. Atualiza25 brought together state radiology societies from across Brazil and, for the first time, representatives from renowned international radiology societies, offering numerous activities for radiologists and residents.

Welcome to the course LIRADS: Fundamental concepts and updates of Atualiza 25! 

Learning objectives:  By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

After this workshop, participants will be able to:

– know the protocols used to evaluate cirrhosis in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging

– become familiar with US LI-RADS and CEUS-LIRADS (contrast-enhanced US) and their applications in clinical practice

– Understand the various LI-RADS categories in CT and MRI, how to apply the diagnostic table, and delve deeper into each category. They will be able to use the auxiliary criteria and tiebreakers. – Learn about LI-RADS TR (post-radiation and non-radiation treatment) and how to apply it, and understand its difficulties and pitfalls.

– learn about mRECIST and how to use it in HCC reduction

– learn everything that needs to be included in the report of a patient with a focal lesion in cirrhosis

– learn about the criteria for liver transplantation

– know the advantages and disadvantages of extracellular contrast and hepatobiliary contrast

– clarify the most frequently asked questions about the use of LI-RADS

– familiarize yourself with the proposed structured report in LI-RADS

– become familiar with the approach to HCC after systemic treatment

Course syllabus: This course aims to train radiology and diagnostic imaging professionals in the appropriate use of LI-RADS (Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System) protocols and criteria, focusing on the evaluation of patients with liver cirrhosis. Upon completion, participants will be able to apply the acquired knowledge practically and accurately in a clinical setting, promoting safer diagnoses and structured, standardized reports.
