Welcome to the course Imaging evaluation of the placenta of Atualiza 25!

Learning objectives: By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

– Understand the normal aspects of the placenta through ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging.

– Understand the MRI protocol for placenta assessment.

– Know the concepts and imaging findings of the main placental alterations (adhesion disorders, placenta previa, placental abruption and gestational trophoblastic disease) with their implications in clinical practice.

– Target audience: radiologists and residents in radiology and diagnostic imaging

Course syllabus: This course focuses on the imaging evaluation of the placenta using ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging. Theoretical classes will cover the main aspects of placental evaluation, including magnetic resonance imaging protocol, normal ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging findings, and the interpretation and diagnosis of major placental abnormalities.
