The Atualiza23 - National Circuit of Brazilian Radiology was held from March 31 to April 2. The event took place in the 100% online format with the aim of promoting theoretical and practical updates for professionals in the sector. Atualiza23 brought together state societies from all over Brazil and, unprecedentedly, representatives from renowned international radiology societies, offering numerous activities aimed at radiologists and residents.

     At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Recognize the importance of imaging in the etiological diagnosis of chest pain in emergency contexts, as well as in therapeutic planning when applicable;
  • Recognize the imaging aspects of the most relevant traumatic injuries within the thoracic compartment;
  • Understand the concepts involved in the main types of pulmonary edema, as well as the imaging findings that support their diagnosis;
  • To objectively evaluate the studies of patients admitted to intensive care units, with a view to the correct positioning of support materials and potential complications in this context.

The concepts involved in the investigation of chest pain (except coronary disease), chest trauma and the approach to critically ill patients in intensive care unit environments will be reviewed. These topics will be covered using short lectures and case discussions selected by radiologists with expertise in thoracic and cardiovascular imaging. The lectures (knowledge pills) will be made available in advance on the event platform and the pre-selected cases will be discussed live.
